Pyu Ancient Town

 Today, let me take you to Hanling, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

 There are many ancient cities in Myanmar that are older than Bagan.  Although there are more than a dozen countries across the country, Bagan is more prominent, with many of the former Pyu towns of Hanlin,  They have only heard of the ancient cities of Bishnoi and Tharei Khettara.  The rest of the old cities will not even know if you answer suddenly.

 Pyu is an immigrant to Burma.  I mean, we don't know what the boundaries were at that time.  But there are also people who are considered to be indigenous Burmese.  In the 4th century BC, there is strong evidence that there were early Burmese in western Sichuan.  As the Burmese group gradually spread to western Yunnan, the Pyu group descended between the Mekong and the Salween rivers.  Similarly, at that time,  Mon Khmer  ဖူ မန်၊  ဝ၊  Palaung  ရိ၊  The Ann tribes are also said to be scattered.

u want to visit Hanlin, which is the highest point in Pyu Old Town, you can visit Sagaing, Yangon.  It is not clear.  You can also visit places like Shwebo.  The route is good.

 Han Lin's ancient buildings and pagodas are not as numerous as Bagan.  But it takes time to learn the details.  It is said that there are still artifacts that can be seen from looking at the earth.  If possible, visit a historical museum there.  It would be a more meaningful trip if someone in charge would explain it.

 There will be ancient pagodas in this old city of Hanlin.  Some of the buildings may have been excavated.  This is the key.  Then there is the Tora Cave.  It is said that it is like a cave pagoda.  My favorite part is the cemetery.  This is because of the opportunity to study the unique ancient burial practices.

 Then just visit the Burmese village called Yepu Kone.  These include onshore salt production;  Wheelbarrow business  Weaving;  Palm business;  Blacksmithing;  ရွှေ ချည် ထိုး၊  There are tap and wall works.  That is why foreigners often come here by land and sea.

 Then there is the hot spring.  It can be broken.  What is special is that there are wells with different water temperatures.

 


 It is very suitable for tourists who are interested in ancient history.  For those who want to learn about Burmese society, it is a must-see place to see a large village.
