Shwedagon Pagoda, which looks like a golden mountain

In 588 BC, there was a wealthy man named Thuwanna in the kingdom of King Okkalapa, which was located near Rangoon, in lower Burma today. The rich man had two sons, Tafotsa and Ballika. They are traders. The merchant brothers loaded the goods by ship and sold them to Mizzima. Upon arrival at the Mizzima seaport, the ship docked and the cargo was loaded on 500 vehicles and sold in the Mizzima area. A group of Tafotsabalika merchant brothers came near the Bodhi tree. The merchants approached the Mahabodhi tree and, day or night, the deity Rukkha appeared to the merchant brother. The merchant brothers were astonished to see the god of herbs. "Who are you?"

Rukkha Soe Nat said, "Listen, I am no other. I was related to you in the past, and I was a benefactor in the past, so in this life I am related to you. The merchant's brother asked Rukkha Soe Nat, "How did you come to benefit?" Then Rukkha Soe Nat said, "Listen, we are benefiting you. In other words, in the Mizzima area where you are, the Three Noble Truths are open and you are worshiping. He immediately said, "Then guide me, Rukkha Soe Nat." Then Rukkha Soe Nat guided Tafotsa and Ballika merchant brothers to the Lord for the Three Hundred Lights. At that time, the merchant brothers and sisters, full of faith and joy, went to the source of the Lord's Three Hundred Lighting Lights. The Buddha was given fried bread, And he offered burnt offerings and peace offerings to the Lord.

 Prepared by the first devotee

Brothers and sisters, merchants offer fried bread to the Blessed One. Donations of beeswax and beeswax were made. Because of this offering from the Buddha, Buddha Tharana Gitsami, Dhammatharana Gissami, the "Duvasika" shrine, was established. At that time, Only two jewels, the Dharma Jewel, appeared. Sangha jewels have not yet appeared. Therefore, many people worship only the two jewels. Looking back at the history of Buddhism, during the time of Gautama Buddha, the Tafotsa and Ballika merchant brothers were the first to receive alms to the Buddha and the first devotees.

The Shwedagon Pagoda is 326 feet high and is located on the Singuttara Hill in Yangon. Also known as "Lay Su Photo Shwedagon". It is said that "the pagoda started from Shwedagon Pagoda".
